Rock Hill, SC – The American Cornhole League (ACL) today announced the first eight licensed owners for its 16 established ACL Pro Teams, marking a major milestone in the league’s growth and the professionalization of team cornhole.
The licensed ownership program allows entrepreneurs and investors to operate teams under a two-year license agreement, securing intellectual property and operational rights for the 2025–2026 seasons.
Since the ACL launched its Pro Teams program in 2022, the league has overseen 16 teams fully owned and operated by the ACL. Following three successful pilot seasons, the league recognized that team-based cornhole has the highest potential to cultivate dedicated fans and increase spectator engagement. Beginning this year, teams have been made available for licensed ownership, creating new opportunities for business leaders to invest in professional cornhole while building their teams’ brand and competitive legacy.

Teams operate under a salary cap, with salary bands for both franchise players and draft picks. The 2026 season includes five marquee events - four regular-season tournaments and one Pro Teams Championship - culminating in the ACL World Championships. Event winners automatically qualify for the championship bracket, with a challenge bracket for remaining teams.
“This milestone represents a key evolution for ACL Pro Teams,” said Stacey Moore, Commissioner and Founder of the ACL. “We are thrilled to welcome these visionary owners to the league. Their entrepreneurial experience and dedication to professional cornhole will elevate the sport, grow fan engagement, and set the stage for franchise opportunities in 2028 and beyond.”
