The 2024 ACL Pro Season is upon us! With the new season comes a few changes to our tournament structure.
This year, the ACL Pro Division has combined the former National and Pro Shootout series into one single series: the ACL Pro Tour. This event structure encompasses all pro-level competition that will take place this season. ACL Pros will compete across all events on their way to the 2024 ACL World Championships in August.
What Is The New Event Structure?
The ACL Pro Cornhole Series is comprised of four main events with each event spanning two separate weekends.
Like previous seasons, the events will maintain their current names: the ACL Kickoff Battle, Cornhole Mania, Bag Brawl, and Final Chase; however, unlike previous seasons, the four events will have a preliminary qualifying weekend followed by a final championship weekend.
Within each event, ACL Pros will compete in four main tournaments: National Singles, National Doubles, Shootout Singles, and Shootout Doubles. National Singles and Doubles follow the traditional cornhole format of playing all games to a score of 21 or more in an ACL Stack bracket. Shootout Singles and Doubles are round-limited tournaments that will also be played in an ACL Stack bracket this season.
Additionally, female ACL Pros will have the opportunity to compete in Women's Singles and Women's Doubles at these events. Finalists of these women-specific events will also be featured on television, plus the winners of each event will qualify for the ACL Pro Women's Tournament of Champions at the 2024 ACL World Championships.
During the first weekend of an ACL Pro Tour event, ACL Pros will compete through each tournament until, at minimum, the semifinals. The final matches of each tournament will then remain on hold until the second weekend of the event where they will be broadcast on television. The second half of these events overlap with ACL Opens which allows non-pro members of the cornhole community to be a part of the action.
